Truck Windshield Replacement That Fits Your Dispatch

A semi parked with a cracked windshield is a truck that isn't earning. So we work around your schedule: an early slot at the shop, or a van out to your yard when the weather lets us. On older split-glass cabs, one side often goes in within an hour.

Come harvest, the calls flip from pickups to grain-cart tractors and combines. A rock off a gravel section road doesn't care what it hits. Most weeks in October we're cutting tractor door glass more than anything else, and we keep the common patterns on file so a cracked cab doesn't park you for a week.

Semi Windshield Replacement in Sioux Falls, at the Shop or Your Yard

Big cabs come to the shop when they fit and the weather's rough. Otherwise the van meets you at the truck yard, the farm or the job site. We need dry glass, about 20°F or warmer, and room to stand a ladder on both sides of the cab.

How Custom Cut Glass Works

Lots of farm and construction cabs use flat panes that a dealer may take weeks to ship. Custom cut glass skips that wait. We trace the old pane, or whatever's left of it, into a pattern, cut new laminated glass to that shape and set it in the original gasket or a new one. Tempered pieces have to be cut before they're heat-treated, so we order those from the pattern.

Glass Rules for Trucks and Buses

Trucks and buses fall under FMVSS 205, the same federal glass standard as cars, and every front pane needs the AS1 marking in its corner. South Dakota's SDCL 32-15-2.3 also bars glass cracked badly enough to impair the driver's view. A cracked windshield is an easy write-up at a roadside inspection, so don't let it ride.

School Bus Windshield Replacement Between Routes

For school bus windshield replacement, we'd rather work mid-morning, after the first route and before the afternoon run. That window is usually enough for a windshield and the urethane's cure. For fire departments, we work around the station's shifts and keep the truck in quarters as much as we can.

Pickups and service trucks book like any car under mobile windshield replacement. Newer semis with a forward camera need it re-aimed after new glass, so ask about ADAS calibration when you call, and we'll tell you if your model needs the dealer's tool. Our vans cover farm country around Crooks and Dell Rapids.

Send us the unit number and a photo of the stamp in the glass corner to start.

Happy Customers!

What our customers say

  • Rock chip repair
A gravel truck on I-29 put a star chip right in front of me. They fixed it in my work parking lot on my lunch break and insurance paid the whole thing. You honestly can't see where it was.
    Megan T.Southwest Sioux Falls
  • Windshield + ADAS calibration
New windshield on our Highlander, and they did the camera calibration right after. Lane assist works like it did from the factory. They called my insurance with me on the line, so it took ten minutes.
    Brian H.Brandon
  • Back glass replacement
Somebody broke my back window over the weekend. Called Monday morning, it was in by Monday afternoon and they vacuumed every last bit of glass out of the seats.
    Alyssa R.Tea
  • Windshield replacement
It was 6 degrees, so they told me to bring the truck to the shop instead of doing it in my driveway. Glad they did. No leaks, no wind noise, fair price.

Semi and Equipment Glass FAQs

How much does semi windshield replacement cost in Sioux Falls?

Most semi windshields cost about $400 to $1,200 installed, per side on a split windshield or for a one-piece. The cab model and whether the glass is heated or tinted set the price. Farm and construction cab glass usually runs $150 to $600 cut and installed. We quote before ordering or cutting.

Do you replace school bus windshields?

Yes. We set windshields, side windows and entry door glass on school buses, and work around route times so a bus misses as few runs as possible. Districts and bus contractors can send several buses through on the same day, and each unit gets its own invoice for your maintenance file.

Can you replace tractor glass in the field?

Often, yes. If the cab glass is a flat pane we can cut ahead of time, we bring it out to the farm and set it in the yard or at the field edge. Curved or oversized panes, or bad weather, mean the tractor comes to us. A photo with a tape measure in it helps.

Is skid loader door glass actually glass?

It depends on the machine. Many Bobcat-style front doors use polycarbonate, a tough clear plastic that scratches more easily than glass, while others use laminated glass. Look in the corner for an AS stamp, because real glass carries one. We replace the glass doors and can point you to the right part for a plastic one.

Free Chip Repair for 6 Months

Get a new windshield from us and take a rock chip in the next six months? Bring it in or have a van stop by and we fix it free. Gravel trucks on I-90 don't care that your glass is a week old, so we figured we'd cover it.

Lane cameras and sensors re-aimed after new glass, with a printed report.

Door, quarter and back glass replaced, plus power window regulators fixed.
