Sioux Falls Master Windshield is a small, locally owned auto glass crew: four installers, a heated shop on the west side and two glass vans. We fix the chips that can be saved and replace the windshields that can't, all over the Sioux Falls area.
Nate's first job in glass was pushing a broom. Straight out of high school, a Sioux Falls shop paid him to sweep up tempered glass and carry windshields out to the trucks. A year later he was setting them. A few years after that, customers were asking for him by name, which honestly embarrassed him.
What stuck wasn't the glass. It was watching an old installer talk a guy out of a $600 windshield because a $70 chip repair would do. That customer came back for every car he owned. We've run the business on that one idea for about 14 years.
Today we're 4 installers, all on our own payroll. No subcontractors. Our heated shop handles winter jobs, calibration and big glass like RV fronts, and our 2 vans cover driveways and work lots from Dell Rapids down to Canton. Mobile Windshield Replacement, or a Heated Shop When It's Cold
Our two vans cover driveways and work lots whenever the glass is dry and it's about 20°F or warmer. Colder than that, or blowing hard? The car comes into our heated install room instead, same price. We think a windshield set in a January wind is the one that leaks in April, and we've seen enough of those to stop arguing about it.
ADAS Camera Calibration Done In-House
Lane assist, automatic braking and adaptive cruise all lean on a camera behind the windshield, and new glass knocks its aim off a hair. We calibrate in our own shop with target boards and a scan tool, then hand you the printout. According to AAA, that step alone averages about $360, so ask any shop whether it's in the quote.
Insurance Claims Set Up on One Call
Good news: most comprehensive policies pay for chip repair in full. For a replacement, we call your insurer with you on the line, read them the part number and have the claim open in about ten minutes. You owe your deductible. You also get to pick the shop, whatever the 800 number suggests.
Free Chip Repair for 6 Months After a New Windshield
Gravel trucks run all summer on I-90 and I-29, and they don't care that your glass is a week old. So if a windshield we put in takes a chip in its first 6 months, we fill it free. Tight budget? We keep blemished windshields, brand-new glass with a tiny cosmetic mark, at $145 plus tax installed when one fits.
